“Music for Plants” is the third Collaboration between Director Orlando Torres, Cinematographer Sean Webley, and Writer/ Actress Yinuo Wang. A narrative short film, “Music for Plants” follows a woman who notices strange changes occuring in her body that, in certain ways, seem connected to her emotions. We started pre-production for “Music for Plants” in 2019 and shot a number of camera tests and did rehearsals. However, during the final week up to the film’s production, COVID-19 began to spread worldwide and we were faced with a difficult decision: to try to push on with production or cancel it. Not wanting to risk anyone’s health, the production was cancelled on the day before the entire island of Puerto Rico was placed in a lockdown. The crew was confined to an apartment overlooking the Caribbean and unable to go outside.
